The weather this weekend was beautiful so that caused us to work on the garden the whole time and completely ignore anything inside the house.
I’ve seen quite a few of those DIY mercury glass type jars around, and I love those, but I do still have to lay off the spray paint for a few more weeks, so I thought it might be fun to try out some gold this time around..I started off with one of these leftover from some pasta sauce..
I added three coats of this stuff with a little paintbrush.The paint I used is DecoArt Dazzling Metallics in Champagne Gold..I ended up with this!.
Seriously, it’s so pretty it’s ridiculous.I look at it across the kitchen and it makes my heart smile.
Who woulda thought?
It’s just a recycled mason jar, but when you slap some paint on it, suddenly it’s the bell of the ball.All of the amounts I mentioned above are total approximations.
All you do is cover however many chicken breasts you’re using in the dressing and then sprinkle a bit of the other stuff over top.Don’t go crazy on the cayenne though or you’ll burn your mouth off.
Just a dash will do it.It should look like this-ish.. Let it cook away on low all day, about 6-8 hours or so.
